Following the success of the BrickWorld exhibition, the Atkinson Museum once again welcomes a large-scale experience with the arrival of Egyptian Treasures, a new exhibition opening on June 19. You are invited to embark on a journey into the heart of Ancient Egypt.
A journey into ancient Egypt
Egyptian Treasures transports visitors into one of history’s most fascinating civilizations through an experience that combines history, heritage, scenography, and discovery.
Designed to engage visitors of all ages, the exhibition offers a journey through the key symbols, beliefs, and defining moments of Ancient Egypt, revealing the timeless fascination this civilization continues to inspire thousands of years later.
Iconic settings and thematic journey
Throughout the exhibition, visitors are guided through carefully recreated thematic environments, exploring iconic references such as:
- The Temple of Luxor
- The Avenue of the Sphinxes
- The world of the pharaohs
- Hieroglyphs and sacred writing
- Rituals connected to spirituality and the afterlife
Each space has been designed to provide an immersive visual and sensory experience, bringing visitors closer to the daily life and beliefs of Ancient Egypt.
Historical replicas and scientific accuracy
The exhibition features around one hundred replicas and reproductions of emblematic Ancient Egyptian artifacts, created with exceptional historical and artistic detail.
The project was developed under the supervision and curatorship of Fundación Sophia, ensuring accuracy and authenticity in the representation of the symbolic and cultural elements of Egyptian civilization.
From antiquity to modern rediscovery
Egyptian Treasures also revisits key moments that shaped the modern rediscovery of Egypt, including:
- Napoleon’s campaign in Egypt
- The discovery of the Rosetta Stone
- The work of Jean-François Champollion, whose breakthroughs were decisive in deciphering hieroglyphs
Among the exhibition’s highlights is the recreation of the world of Tutankhamun, including his funerary treasures and the Egyptian vision of eternity.

Having toured several cities and welcomed thousands of visitors, Egyptian Treasures stands out as a unique cultural experience that combines knowledge, entertainment, and sensory immersion.
