The wine museum is a journey that begins, from the outset, by explaining in which areas of the globe the essential conditions for the production of vineyards are met – and what conditions are these? Learning continues from the types of soil, to grafting and the constitution of the grape and the vineyard, including harvesting, cellar production, cooperage and bottling.
The complete life cycle from grape to bottle is described in a way that is as formative as it is entertaining. Highlights include a giant grape, a real Bedford van, an art gallery, and many other rooms with a WOW factor. On the second floor of the museum, the focus is on Portugal and the Portuguese wine regions. Discover a country small in size but incredibly diverse! Port and Wine Experience also includes several sensory elements, including taste, aroma, and, of course, wine tastings. It will take at least 1h30 on an immersive adventure into the world of wine, as suitable for amateur connoisseurs as it is for experienced oenophiles.
